He thought for a few moments as he caught his breath. With a small sigh he looked to the scientist, "Listen if we cant get this thing done in time, I want you to put her in it." He nodded towards his assistant.

The scientist and assistant looked to one another then to him. " ... Her?" the scientist asked. She tilted her head a bit," Put me in what? What's going on?"

The assistant glanced the scientist over with a worried expression before going after the man.

~A while later~
One of the scientists walked into a large room where a machine hung from the ceiling, "Almost done?" He sounded a bit tired as most had been trying to finish the machine as quickly as they could.

The scientist nodded, typing a few things," Booting up now..... Do you think this was a good idea? I mean, he seemed sure it would work... But..."

He sighed," Right." he said before glancing up, spotting a bit of movement. A long tower protruded from the ceiling, swaying as it switched on, a red light at the bottom seeming to examine the surrounding things.

" 'it'? <INSERT LAB ASSISTANT NAME HERE>, I'm appalled." the machine said, narrowing the light with lenses. The scientist furrowed his brow. Was their creation claiming to have an emotion? Were AIs capable of them?
